Parenting Special Children

Parenting Special Children (PSC) is a Berkshire based charity providing specialist support services to families of children and young people with special needs and/or disabilities plus families who have experienced early life trauma. . Set up 17 years ago by Ruth Pearse Founder and CEO, who wanted to ensure that families didn’t feel so alone, and had specialist parenting support, resulting in creating positive change, strengthening, and empowering parents. In the last year, PSC has supported 2487 local Berkshire families. We help to transform & empower the whole family by providing specialist support so our families can improve their emotional & mental health, creating positive change in their lives. We provide *Dedicated Helpline *Child Sleep plans *Parenting Workshops *Trauma Service incl. support for Adopters/Foster/Kinship *Community Support Groups in deprived areas *Neurodiverse Children's social skills groups *1:1 family support. Our dedicated specialist support helps to create positive change for our families 'Prevention before Crisis'.
