People's Fundraising is a UK fundraising platform built to give charities, community groups and good causes the tools they need to raise more, engage supporters and grow sustainably. How we started
People’s Fundraising began in 2008, when a small group of technologists working in large corporate organisations started questioning why charities and not-for-profits were paying so much to established online fundraising platforms.
We believed there was a different way.
Our ambition was not simply to build a lower-cost alternative. We wanted to create a platform that could help organisations raise more, keep more of what they raise and engage more of the network around them — from individual supporters and communities to companies and corporate partners.
For the first 15 years, People’s Fundraising was developed and run as a volunteer network, alongside our careers in technology and the corporate world.
At the end of 2023, we decided to leave corporate life behind and make People’s Fundraising our full-time mission. Since then, the number of charities we support has doubled.
Where we are today
Today, People’s Fundraising brings together 16 fundraising tools with ways for organisations to extend their fundraising through their individual, community, company and corporate networks.
And we are not standing still. More tools and new ways to engage supporters are already in development.
We believe fundraising works best when everyone has a reason to take part, everyone can benefit from the relationship, and more value ultimately reaches the cause. That idea has guided People’s Fundraising since 2008 and continues to shape everything we build today.
