Hey everyone, I am going to do a sponsored walk for Afasic for DLD (developmental language disorder) awareness day. It’s on the 20th October 2023 and I’m going to do the walk on the 21st October 2023.

I am going to do a walk from Worthing Pier to Brighton Marina any support and sponsorship would be much appreciated.

Afasic is a specialist charity that helps & supports children, young people & families affected by Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) & associated conditions. At least 7% of children & young people are affected by DLD; an average of 2 per school class. Children affected struggle to understand what's being said to them, or get frustrated at not being able to express themselves. Afasic is a parent led charity that aims to ensure children who struggle to communicate have the opportunity to learn & develop their communication skills, enjoy their childhood, and improve their life chances. We also aim to ensure that parents don't feel alone in what they are facing and are able to navigate complex education & health systems to get the support their child needs. What you do is a mission!!! Keep up your great work! Thank you for your time. We run a helpline & organise remote training courses for parents and specialist training for children at key points of transition. Please help to give a child their voice!
