Story

Whitley Bay Sporting Club are holding their third annual 24-hour charity football event, this time raising as much money as possible for the amazing charity, North East Hearts with Goals. The previous two events have been extremely popular with hundreds of players, coaches and friends of Whitley Bay Sporting Club in attendance, raising thousands of pounds in the process. In year 1 we raised money for the Children's Heart Unit Fund at the Freeman hospital. In year 2 we raised enough money to purchase and install five defibrillators at local North Tyneside schools. The recent high profile events with sportspeople suffering sudden cardiac arrest has highlighted the importance of portable defibrillators within the community. We have therefore chosen to continue with the work we have already started by supporting North East Hearts with Goals.
