VeloLight is back!

On the 17th May 2026 VeloLight returns to raise funds for children's charity Charlie's Gift.

Headed up by the 'Lightly Lads' Simon Fisher and Jon Estell, together with cyclists from the lighting industry and 'Charlie's Heroes', these intrepid cyclists will be taking to the saddle once more to raise vital funds for disadvantaged children across Herts, Beds and Bucks.

Riders will set off from event hosts Thorlux Lighting in Redditch to undertake a challenging 70km circular route through the hilly Worcestershire countryside, before returning to base later that day.

We welcome any donations to Charlie's Gift in support of our amazing riders and thank you for your generosity.

Charlie's Gift

Charlie’s Gift is a grant making charity based in Hertfordshire, supporting children living within Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire who face daily challenges in life because of disability, special need, life limiting illness, mental health difficulties, bereavement or financial hardship. Our grants are often life-changing and positively impact young lives by providing for essential healthcare, mobility, and therapy items, as well as much-needed day trips and short breaks away. Our grants are also awarded to help relieve the short-term needs of children affected by poverty and close bereavement. Charlie's Gift was set up by two of our Trustees Nicole and Jason Fidler in memory of their young son Charlie who died suddenly in June 2010, from Anaphylactic Shock, aged just 8 years old. Charlie was a loving little boy with a generous heart, who lived his short but happy life to the full. In keeping with the compassionate spirit to which Charlie approached his life, our aim as a charity is to provide funding to children in our local area, for life's essentials and those little extras, to bring smiles and happiness all round.
