Fundraiser - Tyne Tea'ers Bridge to Bridge Walk

Story

On Saturday, August 12th, 2023, Success4All's Tyne Tea'ers youth group will walk 4.79 miles across five of Newcastle's famous bridges: the Millennium Bridge, Swing Bridge, Redhugh Bridge, High level Bridge, and the Tyne Bridge.

This walk is part of the Tyne Tea'ers project, "River Tyne: Then, Now & Tomorrow," kindly funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Over the past year, our young people learned about the River Tyne's heritage, including stories of migration, connection, love, and prosperity. They also learned about the built environment surrounding the river, including the five bridges, which are nearly impossible to miss. The youth group will raise funds for Action Foundation who support refugees and asylum seekers settling in Tyne and Wear overcome isolation.
