Please support The Joshi Project Kiltwalk

Team Joshi Project will be walking the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on September 14 this year. We are working toward opening 24/7 walk-in mental health centres – “Joshi Hubs”– in Glasgow and Inverness.

All Joshi Hubs will be operated under the Trieste Model, a system based on individual choice, freedom, compassion, personal aspirations, dignity, human rights and community as the route to recovery.

It’s time we all came together to solve this crisis. The Trieste Model is supported by the World Health Organization and is regarded as the most successful model for recovery anywhere in the world.

Supporting

Joshi Project

The Joshi Project is named for the founders' beautiful, brilliant and gifted daughter, who died in 2020, aged 24. Her tragic, final moments came after a lifetime of struggle against deep depressions, high anxiety and punishing OCD rituals, along with the persistent abandonment and failure of mental health professionals, who did not provide the care and support she sought and desperately needed to live.

The purpose of The Joshi Project is to introduce a more compassionate and flexible system of mental health care in Scotland, aimed at helping the thousands – probably tens of thousands – of people like Joshi, who have so much to give the world, but are stymied and oppressed by the confines of a system without vision.
