Story

I will be running the Great Birmingham Run - half marathon in support of a charity I am very passionate about; They Way Youth Zone.

The Way is a charity in the heart of Wolverhampton that provides a place to go to and regular support for young people between the ages of 8-19 (up to 25 with additional needs). The top class facilities on offer can be accessed for the small price of £5 for a year's membership and 50p per visit.

I have seen first hand the massive difference The Way makes to the youth of Wolverhampton and your donation will go a long way in maintaining the fantastic services on offer supporting the young people to become the best version of themselves.

The Way Youth Zone

The Way Youth Zone is a charity in Wolverhampton that gives young people, 8-19 (25 with a disability), somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. We raise the aspirations of our young people in our Youth Zone by welcoming 100 young people a night, 7 days a week, and offering them over 20 activities to join in with. In our state-of-the-art facilities, our young people can take part in football, climbing, music, art, boxing and more. Our youth led organisation is open for all young people, where we ask for only a £5 membership and 50p per visit. Here we support them with whatever they need, from mentoring, to safeguarding, to even simple things like football advice. It costs us over £1 million a year to run our incredible services, and every donation made to our charity makes a huge difference to our local young people and their futures.
