Story

Start 01/12/2020 - Finish 25/12/2022

After a year off, 2020 has seen me quickly resume my lifelong, extremely unhealthy relationship with chocolate and pile back on the pounds. This doesn't help my mental or physical wellbeing, and certainly doesn't help my legs or my bike when they are having to carry an extra stone of me up hills on a run or a ride! So, it's time to up the ante and this time go for TWO FULL YEARS without my favourite food. No chocolate bars of any kind, no bags of Cadburys buttons, no sneaky boxes of Maltesers (and that's just one day's supply). I've tried stopping by my own will power and utterly failed, so I'm back to calling on others to support me in the usual way: money for bunnies!! I could quite easily betray myself, but never bunnies in need, so any donations to the fabulous SNORS will force me to stick to the pledge. Please help!!

This time I would particularly like to support the new SNORS Building Fund campaign. This aspirational project aims to secure the charity's future by fundraising specifically to purchase its own premises with customised rabbit enclosures. This will enable them to help many more rabbits, run educational events to improve rabbit welfare and hold on site fundraising events.

The challenge will start on December 25th (yes, Christmas Day): this is because I have a Cadburys Dairy Milk Advent Calendar to finish off first as my last treat!! It was bought in a futile attempt to limit myself to one piece of chocolate a day ha ha. From December 1st to 24th my only chocolate intake will be from the calendar, working my way up to the complete ban from the 25th.

Thank you

Training run

Only three months left of my chocolate ban - thank you everyone for your donations. For an extra SNORS challenge I am running the Hardmoors 60 ultramarathon on Saturday 17th September. This is a 62 mile ultramarathon on the North Yorkshire coast from Guisborough to Filey. It follows the coastal section of the Cleveland Way, through Saltburn, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough. Training has been a bit stop and start with various niggles, so target is just to finish and then hang up my long-distance running shoes!

I am dedicating this run to terminal cancer bunny Bobby (who also has no rear feet).
