My name is Kirsty Gamage and this summer I will be swimming 10 kilometres continuously from Sandbanks to Fisherman's Walk to raise £1000 for Tyler's Friends. My swim will take place anytime in between June and September and must coincide with an incoming tide and favourable weather. I have a number of dates pencilled in but I will keep a close eye on conditions and will be decided on the day, please keep an eye on my Facebook page for updates. This really will be a challenge for me as my longest continuous swim to date is only 5k! I will have a swimmy friend joining me to keep me company in the water, and my husband supporting us in a kayak along the way. I won't be using any aids like fins and I will be wearing only a swimming costume, swim cap, goggles, ear plugs and a tow float for safety. What is my impetus for this challenge of such magnitude?!?! Well, my beautiful daughter Suzi is disabled and unfortunately her passing before myself crosses my mind from time to time. So instead of feeling sad I decided to plan this swim, and raise some money along the way. Please support this amazing charity, even if just a little..it all adds up. Thank you xxx
