Fundraiser - One week Bare feet

Hi guys! Hannah and Debbie here- We have decided to go BAREFOOT for ONE WHOLE WEEK!!! Yes this means working, shopping, doing the school run and everything else in between completely bare foot!!! (Please can the weather get warmer???!!!)

Through sponsorship we are hoping to raise enough my money to provide shoes and other necessary equipment for the orphans who are supported by DO! to attend Broadway School and their vocational training programs in Padibe, Uganda. As well as raise awareness of the challenges that these children face on a daily basis. Many of these children are walking to, from and attending school with shoes that are old, broken, the wrong size or have none at all.

we estimate the cost of one pair of shoes to be between £16- £20, and so we are setting the target at £1000 so that each of the 52 children can receive a pair! Please help us reach this target by giving whatever you can.

DO! Developing Orphans

We support sustainable economic and social development for two rural communities in a remote region of northern Uganda that is unsupported by major aid agencies. In particular, we work with sixty-three child-led families, comprised of 193 orphans who were left destitute by war. Our development programme provides shelter and emergency aid as required, however our long-term focus is on the development of agricultural, educational, economic, and social infrastructure with the aim of creating self-sufficient communities. Our goal is to push beyond simple subsistence to the relative flourishing of these communities, providing choices that otherwise would not have been available for generations.
