Fundraiser - NF2 Biosolutions UK - 20 Mile Hike

Story

Me and my lovely friend Sam will be doing the 20 mile steeltown hike!!

I thought this fundraiser would be a great way to raise awareness for NF2 aswel as push us both to the end!

My dad (Graham) had NF2 I lost him in 1997, he had bilateral vestibular schwannomas, when found they were so large they removed them fairly instantly. He became deaf after the surgeries and had facial palsy on one side. It changed his whole life for the worst.

Me and 2 of my sisters suffer from the same condition, its constant appointments and fear and anxiety at the next MRI. Tumours can grow anywhere on the body, and although usually stay benign, they have devastating results. Me and my sisters are some of the lucky ones having shown symptoms later in life. However the signs that things are changing for the worst are now becoming clearer.

This charity does so much good and 100% of the donations go into funding real possibilities of a brighter future.
