Story

A new van can......  enable us to bring more people to our groups each week.   Providing transport, with a friendly, familiar TDS driver, makes all the difference in enabling people to join our groups and enjoy trips out.

Because we have grown, we are now running more than one group on several days so we desperately need a new vehicle.  We've found a great, accessible vehicle that is in good condition and can carry 8 passengers.

We've already received several donations this year and are confident that we can match fund what our supporters can raise during February.  We want to enable more isolated people to get out each week so please help us to do that.  Every £ is very much appreciated and will contribute to this great community effort.

Supporting

Together Dementia Support from Together Dementia Support

Together Dementia Support is a local charity that aims to help people live positively with dementia. We do this by supporting both carers and the people for whom they care. Primarily we run a range of weekly and monthly activity groups, enabling people with dementia to get out and meet others, enjoying stimulating activities together. Some groups offer a wide range of activities whilst others have a particular focus (Walk & Talk, Gospel Choir, Creative Club, Pyaari Yaadein (for S Asian elders). Transport is provided to all groups enabling even the most socially isolated people to get out. We also run a Carers' drop-In offering therapeutic massage and other activities as well as training and information sessions. Our Fabulous Forgetful Friends group enables people living with dementia to campaign, influence, and train others about living with dementia. We are a small team of staff with a much larger and diverse team of volunteers
