Every winter it becomes harder to find suitable parking for our volunteers and for our future community plans. Our lane has very limited parking and so a piece of our adjacent wildlife woodland development has been set aside for parking. In the Summer this is fantastic, in the Winter it cannot be used at all due to waterlogging and mud.
We are hoping you will assist us by donating a minimum of £10 each for us to get started on our first of four stages requiring this essential eco friendly heavy duty mud control matting. These mud control mats are 7kg in weight, eco certified and allow the grass to grow through and rain water to drain away allowing all vehicles to park without sinking or irritating the neighbours by parking in the street.
Initially we need the parking area covered first, this will take at least two fundraisers so the more we can exceed the target, the more we can do. The latter stages will be for paths down the wildlife paddock and into and around the rescue section, which will serve both volunteers and disabled community visits.
The company Mud Control that the mats would be purchased for have quoted a price of £1170 for 35sqm including delivery, we need at least 3 to 4 of these. Then a tonne bag of sand per 35sqm to secure them.
