I’m doing my first triathlon – for our children, our school, and our future.
This Saturday, I’ll be taking on the super sprint at Blenheim Palace – my first ever triathlon. I’ll be swimming, cycling and running in one of the most beautiful settings in the country, but the real reason I’m doing this is much closer to home: our school needs us.
Malorees is more than just a school – it’s a community. But like so many schools right now, it’s facing real financial pressure. We need vital funds to keep providing the experiences, resources and support our children deserve. That’s why I’m pushing myself to do something completely outside my comfort zone.
I’ve been training hard – including swimming each week with our wonderful Year 4 children. They’ve cheered me on, encouraged me, and reminded me why this challenge matters. They see me cycling into school every day, and I hope I’ve been a positive role model for them – just as they’ve inspired me.
This won’t be easy. It’s going to be a huge challenge. But I’m doing it because I believe in these children and this community – and I want them to have every chance to thrive.
