Cognitive Sensations joins the campaign to end loneliness!
During lockdown, digital technology has become a lifeline for many, keeping families and friends connected. But there are many who do not have access to these technologies or a reliable internet connection at all. As a not-for-profit organisation that makes work about the impact of technology on society, this has got us thinking seriously about how we can connect with others without devices. Through this initiative we hope to reduce loneliness and create connections which are inclusive to everyone.
How can I take part?
Write, donate, communicate!
1. Write three letters to friends or loved ones (but one is also okay!).
This is a personal intervention that should be in any form you would like: short, long, visual, handwritten, silly or personal. The point is, receiving and sending something in the post is a wonderful experience that helps us feel connected to others.

2. Make a suggested donation of £3.
All proceeds will go to the Campaign to End Loneliness, a charity which connects and brings communities together across the UK. With nine million lonely people across the UK, their core focus is to reach out and support these individuals, and to increase services and activities that address loneliness.
3. Spread the word.
We want this to benefit as many people as possible! Share a photo of your envelope on social media and tag #lettersinlockdown @cognitivesensations and nominate three people to join the campaign!
