My dad was diagnosed with leukaemia in April this year, this came as a complete shock to us all. Since then he has been in and out of hospital, been through 2 rounds of intensive chemotherapy, had multiple blood transfusions and bone marrow biopsies.
Dad is beating this illness so far but we still have a way to go.
During this time the whole family have received incredible support from the cancer ward at the RUH, so to give a little back to them I am raising money for RUH Bath cancer services by running the Bath Half Marathon in October.
Anything you can give will be gratefully received and will go towards this small charity who support the work of the cancer ward at the RUH by purchasing equipment, facilities and services that the NHS are unable to provide. Their aim is to improve outcomes and the well being of local cancer patients.
Thank you
