The walk is in its 8th year and on the 5th of October 2024 at 9pm I am joining a group of walkers who will set off on a 55k walk from London to Chatham. The overnight walk is a test of stamina and mental strength. I did the walk 2 years and it was gruelling! - But I want to do it again to help raise money for OneBig Family and and I have forgotten how painful my feet were 2 years ago!
The walk raises much needed funds for the day to day running of the charity. We offer support to those who are homeless and also vulnerably housed, food parcels, appointment support, street outreach and a soup kitchen. In Medway we also run Dukes House which is temporary accommodation. At Dukes House our clients learn to deal with life skills such as dealing with bank accounts, benefits, budgeting and cooking skills before moving on to a permanent accommodation. We have big plans for accommodation in Medway for the coming year and your donations will help realise the dream.
