Story

HELLO!

The Imprudent Collective is creating an online multi-media art exhibition to raise funds for The Village Orchard so that they can continue to get low-cost therapy to people in the community who are unable to access other local mental health services.

The Village Orchard is a not-for-profit that has met the challenge of a global pandemic and adapted, your support will help them continue to see people one-to-one and to continue to keep their waiting list short.

Pay what you can.

We are asking the artist submitting work to pay what they can to exhibit with us.

If they choose to sell their work we have asked for 30% commission or they can choose to give 100% or their sales to the fund.

YOU don't have to be in the exhibition or buy work, you CAN just donate to the fund if you wish!

Supporting

Village Orchard East CIC

*We are a trauma responsive organisation creatively nourishing communities*

The Village Orchard East CIC is a not-for-profit, trauma responsive organisation with a goal of providing bespoke mental health support through 1:1 psychological interventions and group work.

People are facing increasing difficulty when trying to access mental health services and our aim is to stop these people falling through the cracks.

Here are some of the roadblocks often faced by people trying to access mental health services:

• Not meeting the criteria of a statutory service or charity.

• Finding they are ineligible for mainstream services or the modality available is not one the client can engage with

• The nature of their trauma may be ‘too complex’ or 'not complex enough'

• Financial restrictions leaves them unable to cover the cost of private therapy

• Lengthy waiting lists when the need for support is more urgent

For those who have been unable to access support elsewhere due to financial limitations we offer a sliding pay scale for sessions fees, ranging from £10 - £60. We also provide a small number of ‘zero fee’ spaces.

Our team of psychological practitioners, students and volunteers cover the following modalities, Art Therapy; Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); Drama Therapy; Play Therapy; Dance Movement Therapy; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Psychodynamic Therapy; Children’s and Families Interventions; Group Therapies; Counselling.
