Hello there! I’m Gregg and on Sunday 23rd April I should’ve been running the London Marathon in support of Feeding Families. However, due to a short notice deployment, I shall now be doing this over 8,000 miles away in the Falkland Islands instead!
Feeding Families are a charity based in the North East of England that offer support, hope and security to those experiencing food poverty. Working closely with other organisations, they ensure that thousands of families in desperate need have access to emergency food boxes and support packages. In the last year, Feeding Familles have donated over 160,000 meal boxes, helping over 44,000 in that time.
In the midst of the current climate, it’s more important than ever that families under pressure receive all the support they can. Being from the North East myself, I recognise the importance of charities such as Feeding Families to uphold the strong community spirit that is integral to welfare of local families.
