Story

Help us! Please donate, or pledge to do a sponsored activity.

We're trying to raise £2,000 so that we can provide a fully accessible, supported, and subsidised day trip for our members to The Deep in Hull.

Whenever we ask our members what additional services they would like us to provide, the answer is always the same: A day trip!

Our members are all adults who are learning disabled, autistic or both learning disabled and autistic. Many of them do not have opportunities to go out for day trips like this, based on their support needs, and the accessibility of public transport, not to mention the inhibitive cost.

The Lightbulb Club is our Member Forum, which is chaired by our Member Ambassadors. In our last meeting, several of our members pledged to raise money to make a day trip happen. They'd like to make it an annual thing, but for now, we're concentrating on raising funds for a trip in the summer of 2025.

Please consider donating, however small. You can also help by sharing this campaign on your social media platforms, or you could pledge to raise some money yourself by doing a fundraising activity, like a sponsored event.
