There are approximately 1000 asylum seekers placed in Home Office accommodation across South Yorkshire. During their time here they only receive £8 a week and cannot afford essential items such as clothes, shoes and toiletries, and often remain in the clothes they have arrived in. With the weather starting to turn more cold, many do not have any warm clothing such as jumpers and coats, or warm shoes.
Care4Calais and Stand Up To Racism volunteers support these asylum seekers by distributing clothes and toiletries, and ensure they have the support they need. However we are urgently in need of more clothes and funds to be able to continue this work. Please donate whatever you can so that we can get them the items they need. Here is what your money can buy:

£2- underwear or socks
