Help us provide clothes, shoes and other essentials for the men at Napier Barracks, people living in hotels and individuals and families in dispersal accommodation across the county from Dover to Gillingham!
Our volunteers are the only group supporting people at all Home Office accommodation for families and adults in Kent & Medway.
Many people arrive in hotels with just the clothes on their back and the Home Office-issued flipflops which are often broken, and most don't have a warm jumper or jacket for the winter.
There are around 330 men at Napier at any time and an average of 120 people attend our fortnightly distributions at the camp. Given that the men only stay for 60-90 days, we meet many people every few months who typically need similar things in similar sizes.
We are also supporting a range of families - from pregnant women and newborns, to grandparents and older couples. Everyone has different needs so financial donations are so important to help us meet those needs.
We spend all donations on direct support for people seeking asylum - mostly wholesale purchases of underwear, socks, hats, gloves and sliders. We are all volunteers and none of our local donations are spent on C4C overheads.
In 2023-4 our team provided thousands of items at more than 100 distributions across the county. We simply could not do this without your support and we are so grateful for everyone single donation ❤️
