The Women's World Cup 2023 is here and we're super excited to be throwing a whole host of screenings and events during the course of the tournament! This year we'll be supporting The Outside Project and we're inviting our attendees to get involved too. Keep an eye out for our various fundraising activities during the month and donate if and when you can!
The Outside Project is an LGBTIQ+ Community Shelter, Centre and Domestic Abuse Refuge in response to those within the LGBTIQ+ community who feel endangered, who are homeless, ‘hidden’ homeless and feel that they are on the outside of services due to historical and present prejudice in society and in their homes. As well as hosting meetings, groups and activities at London's LGBTIQ+ Centre, they also run a sport's programme, creating space for LGBTIQ+ people who feel that they can’t access sports due to poverty, bad experiences at school, body-shaming, or them taking place in gendered spaces.
Their football team "Outsiders United" meet every Weds at 11am at Castlehaven Community Centre and all groups are free to attend, for beginners and are non-competitive.
