Fundraiser - MEET ODETTE

Story

I met Odette when I visited Rwanda in May

She is 25 years old, married with 2 children aged 5 and 3

She never went to secondary school, her parents didn't have the money but she did learn to sew.

She works 12 hours a day, 6 days a week for a chinese clothing company in Kigali., where she is treated like a slave.

Together with her husband they earn just enough to survive but she hardly sees her children.

If she had her own sewing machine, she could stay in her home village and earn a living from making garments for local people.

£300 is nothing to us but it would make such a massive difference to her and her family's life.
