Chris, Sam, Kyle and Lisa are joining the Extra Mile Challenge in Burgundy to raise money for YMCA MK and Northamptonshire. We will be cycling 500 miles over 3 days so please give generously to support this charity undertaking vital work with young people.
YMCA Milton Keynes works with vulnerable young people to identify their strengths, build their confidence and improve their self-esteem. We do this by:
• Providing a safe place to live for up to 242 people, aged 18-35, across our campus and move-on accommodation.
• Offering an employment service to help our young people identify and achieve their individual career goals.
• Delivering a range of support services including on-site counselling, one-to-one key work sessions and wide range of activities.
• Reaching beyond our campus walls to work with young people at risk of involvement in knife crime through our navigator project based at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
In the coming year, we also plan to expand our work into Northampton, providing bespoke accommodation and a comprehensive pathway of support specifically for care-leavers. Your donation will help us expand our services now and reach more vulnerable young people.
