About

Prior Park is holding its annual sleepout event to help raise money for the Genesis Trust.

Students will have the opportunity to learn more about real life stories of how people find themselves homeless; what the reality of homelessness is like; and take on the challenge of "sleeping rough" for a night.

The event is an outworking of the College's core values, embodying the desire to serve others; to meet people in compassion and love; and nurture curiosity beyond the confines of the classroom.

All funds raised will support the Genesis Trust and their mission of "compassionate help to support people with their immediate needs and journey with them as they gain confidence, learn new skills, overcome challenges and make choices to restore and rebuild their lives."

The Genesis Trust exists to offer immediate practical help to people who are hungry, homeless and vulnerable, and provide long-term help and opportunities for them to rebuild their lives. We work individually with people on their journey from despair to hope, from crisis to independence.
