Anthony Nolan
Our vision
To save and improve the lives of everyone affected by blood cancer and blood disorders.
Our cause is as relevant now as it was when Shirley Nolan founded the charity, when no match could be found for her son Anthony. It’s her pioneering work, in Anthony’s name, that we continue today.
Shooting Star Children's Hospices
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across south-west London, north-west London and Surrey.
We’re here to make every moment count, whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months, or years. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional, and medical care. Our specialist care and support is free of charge and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We support around 600 babies, children, or young adults who have a life-limiting condition and their families, as well as around 400 bereaved families. It costs £12 million a year to run Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, so we rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep our services going.
Ty Hafan
Ty Hafan is one of the UK's leading paediatric palliative care charities and offers care to children and support for their families, throughout Wales. If you think this means we simply provide a place where children can come to die, you couldn't be further from the truth. We offer comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families in the hospice, in the community and in their home so they can make the most of the time they have left together. We allow parents and carers to relax and recharge their batteries. And we make sure the needs of brothers and sisters are never forgotten.
