Welcome to the Beacon Academy Sponsored Walk 2024 team page!

Edit: We are delighted to announce that our postponed Sponsored Walk has been rescheduled for Friday 23 May 2025.

Students in Years 7 – 10 will be able to take part in this fun fundraising event, either walking, running or marshalling the 8km route around Crowborough and towards Rotherfield, to raise funds to support the school and charities nominated by our students: Clued-Up Info and Folly Wildlife Rescue. As this new date is within the formal exam period, our Year 11 students will have the option to participate in a virtual challenge if they wish. An alternative challenge will be available for the Year 8 students attending the French trip to Normandy. Further information about these arrangements will be communicated separately.

We are asking every student to raise as much as they can in sponsorship to help us to reach our goal to develop outdoor social areas for our students and provide vital funding for educational resources.

Students are encouraged to share the link to their personalised fundraising page with family and friends. For every 25 GBP of sponsorship money received, students will be entered into a prize draw to win a fitness tracking watch, one for each year group. Furthermore, for every 50 GBP raised, students will receive an additional entry into a second prize draw with the opportunity to win an Apple Watch.
