Join Victoria University of Wellington's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nic Smith, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Māori and Kaitiakitanga, Professor Rawinia Higgins, at Radisson Blu Bloomsbury for an evening of connection and community.
The Vice-Chancellor will share updates on University news and stories of extraordinary staff, students, and alumni making a difference at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Guests will also enjoy a special performance by the Ngāti Rānana London Māori Club, presenting a vibrant mix of waiata and haka.
This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow graduates, classmates, and friends. There will be time for Q&A, along with plenty of space to network and socialise over refreshments. You are warmly invited to bring a guest. Please register by Friday 17 October.
This year we are asking for a contribution of £15 per person. All proceeds will support the University’s Student Hardship Fund, which helps students struggling with essentials such as rent, food, and power. With rising living costs and fewer part-time jobs in Wellington, your support will ensure students can continue their studies without the burden of financial hardship.
Ticket proceeds will be received by the UK Friends of Victoria University of Wellington, an independent charity registered in England and Wales (charity no. 1112297, company no. 05556345). If you are a UK taxpayer, your contribution may qualify for the UK Government’s Gift Aid scheme.
Nau mai, haere mai – we look forward to connecting with you.
Note: Ticket sales have now closed, but if you are interested in attending the event please email alumni@vuw.ac.nz.
