Eleanor Jackson, the new Curator of paintings, acquired an illuminated manuscript for the British Library that was made in York around 1300. She subsequently identified the original owners: Robert and Margery de Percy of Bolton Percy near York. She will talk about this process, and about the manuscript’s wider significance.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet Eleanor. She read History of Art at the University of Cambridge, and subsequently wrote a PhD on pocket gospel books at the University of York.
