About

Have you settled in the UK but still feel like a foreigner? Is your heart split between more than one country? Do you want to put into words what it means to be a citizen of the world?

APARU invites you to our second Creative Writing Workshop for Expats, a unique space to explore the migration experience – something we all feel but rarely talk about. Led by Juana Riepenhausen, founder and director of Todo Nuestro, Todo Suyo, this workshop will help you put your journey into words, connect with other expats and share your experiences in a creative and welcoming space.

Those who have already attended a session of ESCRIB-IRSE are welcome to join us again! This workshop will introduce brand new exercises.

No writing experience needed – just come with an open mind and let your creativity conjure up the magic.

The workshop will be taught in Spanish. Participants are invited to write in whichever language they feel comfortable with.

Materials: Bring whatever you enjoy writing with – notebook, diary, laptop, tablet, or even a typewriter or fountain pen.
