Rotary Bristol Dragon Boat Festival 2026 - Rotary Club of Bristol Breakfast

Rotary Bristol Dragon Boat Festival 2026

The Event

The annual Dragon Boat Festival (DBF) is organised by the Bristol Breakfast Rotary Club, who are currently meeting regularly at Redland Green Club in Redland, Bristol. The objectives are to have fun and raise money for charities. The Festival is held at Baltic Wharf on the Bristol City Harbourside between The Cottage Inn and the Bristol Marina. Teams will be raising money for their own chosen charity and other Rotary Charities.

The Racing

The DBF, is a full day’s event with up to 36 teams competing in heats, semi-finals and a grand final. The fundraising is achieved by all crew members obtaining sponsorship. Boats, paddles, buoyancy aids and instruction are provided by the professional event organisers.

No previous experience is necessary and it is open to all, subject to a minimum age of 16 and being able to swim 50 yards in light clothing.

Team Information

Fancy dress makes it more fun so prizes are awarded to the winners of the best fancy dress as well as the winners and those who raise the most sponsorship.

In addition to having great fun and raising money for good causes, the event can provide companies, other groups and organisations with an opportunity for team building.
