East Linton Primary School Parent Council are lucky enough to be kicking off the East Linton Gala week with a ceilidh dance on the evening of 1st June 2024.

We are aiming to raise some essential funds for our lovely school and in doing so we are very much looking forward to getting our community together to enjoy some ceilidh dancing and a fabulous fun night. Our fundraising efforts from 2023 helped towards the P7 camp, paid for Christmas parties for all classes, supplied new library books and bought planters and seeds to improve the playgrounds. 

On the evening you will be entertained by The Wullie Scott Traditional Ceilidh Band who are a 3 piece ceilidh band, caller and professional DJ! When we are having a break from the dance floor we will be holding a raffle and having some fun fundraising games (bring cash). There will be a cashless bar serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.  

  • Time: 19:00 to 23:30 - arrive at 19:00 for dancing to start at 19:30
  • Venue: East Linton Community Hall, 75 High Street, East Linton, EH40 3BQ.
  • Ticket Price: £12 per ticket (adults only).

East Linton Primary Parent Council

East Linton Parent Council is made up of a small group of parents including representatives from each year group. We meet every 6 weeks to discuss important matters relating to school progress and to be the voice of the parents and carers. In addition the parent council are responsible for fundraising so that we can make sure the pupils are getting access to everything they need such as additional workshops, materials, trips, playground equipment etc. For example the Parent Council help pay for Christmas parties, playground renovations, Jubilee gifts, new books and lots more. The support of the school parents and carers really helps and we are very grateful for any help given.
