About

Raise a glass to the fascinating history of Billericay's pubs, inns, and brewing. From the earliest known pubs to modern locals, this talk explores how Billericay's brewing developed and how they have shaped community life. We will be joined by our friends at the Billericay Brewery who will be providing samples for you to test!

6 July 2026, 7.30-8.30 (doors at 7.15)

Cater Museum

The Cater Museum is a small museum in Billericay, Essex located in the middle of the High Street at number 74 and dedicated to the history of the town and its community. The museum, a registered charity, lies within a Grade II listed, 18th Century, red-brick-fronted building. The museum stores numerous local artefacts over three floors including information on local families and buildings and was established by Alice May Cater, the Chair of the Billericay Branch of the CPRE (Council for Protection of Rural England) in honour of her late husband William Alexander Cater who was a local antiquarian
