Dear Friends,

Sri Lanka is in the midst of a humanitarian crisis caused by severe flooding. Torrential rains from a slow-moving depression in the Bay of Bengal have led to widespread destruction. Over 12 lives, including six children, have been lost, and thousands of homes have been washed away or severely damaged. More than 335,000 people have been forced to flee their homes and are in urgent need of food, safe shelter, and medical care.

This disaster has left families struggling to survive without basic necessities. Children are especially vulnerable, and entire communities are facing an uncertain future as they try to recover from this tragedy.
