About

All donations received from this site go into the Woodlands Account of The Rotary Club of Harrogate Charity Trust Fund, Registered Charity number 1031293. All of the money is used to buy stakes, sleeves and young trees to plant in and around Upper Nidderdale. We have been running this project since 2008, to improve the local environment, to block the spread of bracken from moorland down onto grassland, and to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as the trees grow.

If you contribute to this site you can be confident that the trees will definitely be planted, they will be planted locally, and you can even come and help plant them yourself if you wish. All of the trees are planted by volunteers, all of the money is spent on trees and we make no management charges.

All donations of whatever size are gratefully received. We will acknowledge receipt of the donation by email unless you tick the box for no further contact.  Please complete the details for Gift Aid if you are a taxpayer. We cannot claim Gift Aid if you do not provide your postal address. We will not use this information for any other purpose. You could look at it that you pay for the tree, Gift Aid pays for the stake and protective sleeve.
