Gloucester Rowing Club is one of the UK's oldest rowing clubs and has been supporting and encouraging rowing in Gloucestershire since its formation in 1846. It is now a Community Amateur Sports Club run by volunteers and celebrates its 175th anniversary in 2021. We welcome experienced and aspiring members from every part of the community, whether they're rowing for fun or competing in local, national or international events. Our members range in age from Juniors through to Veterans in their 80s ? but all maintain their health and wellbeing through their shared interest in rowing. The club is based on the Gloucester-Sharpness canal and moved to a purpose-built site in 2018 ? but with much work still needed to complete the development and furnish the clubhouse and gym. We are always grateful for any additional funding to support this and to maintain the boats and equipment at a level deserving of the passion shown by its members.
