Feeding Families is a north east charity which helps our local communities where people are in need of food. While food banks do fantastic work we try to reach out beyond, to those who cannot access other provision.
Although we work all year round, at Christmas time we run our biggest project where we match donors who would like to make someone's Christmas special with families who have applied to us. The donor delivers a lovely box of special food – “Christmas in a Box†as we call it! It lets families and individuals enjoy the season without fear and worry about what they will eat and to know that we, as a community, care.
We also pack hundreds of boxes in our packing centres which we give through partner charities who serve the most vulnerable people who would struggle to apply directly. By donating to us you will help us provide more of these boxes which are so urgently needed. Your gift will make a real difference to a local family.
