The British Friends of Reuth is a UK registered charity, active for over eight decades, it supports the work of Reuth in Israel in the field of healthcare and social welfare. The focus is on sponsoring all aspects of care including the innovative Quality of Life Therapies at Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital, Tel Aviv. Therapies are based on one of the key principles of Reuth, that every person deserves to live life with dignity and respect. They include; therapeutic gardening, music, art, drama and animal therapy, therapeutic outings and activities in the community. Reuth is one of Israel’s oldest and largest non-profit organisations. Founded in 1937, it specialises in a wide range of medical services, together with rehabilitation and care for the elderly. The Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital is the largest rehabilitation hospital in the greater Tel Aviv area with 12 hospital wards and 350 beds, it sees 2,000 inpatients every year and 20,000 people visit its clinics annually.
