WELCOME TO THE NEW FUNDRAISING PAGE FOR THE NORTHAMPTON AND LAMPORT RAILWAY CIO
The Northampton & Lamport Railway (NLR) is a steam and heritage diesel tourist railway in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside. Located just 5 miles north of Northampton, we currently have approximately 1� miles of running track along the old Northampton to Market Harborough line. This route is now the Brampton Valley Way (a 14-mile linear park) so you can not only ride one of our trains along the former line, but also walk along and watch the steam and diesel engines in action.
First established in 1984, we are run purely by volunteers and have been operating train services since 1995. We are currently working to complete our � mile southern extension to Boughton, before then pushing north a further 1� miles to Spratton.

The Northampton and Lamport Railway Charitable Incorporated Organisation (formerly the Northampton and Lamport Railway Preservation Society) is the charity which supports the Northampton and Lamport Railway.
