About

MARCH 2022 - Welcome to our new Appeal page for the Boughton Extension

Please help us complete our 1/2 mile southern extension to Boughton.

Our volunteers have been working tirelessly for years to build something amazing from scratch! Once open, we will have 2 stations for the first time and 2 miles of running line.

We're so close, but your donation will help us get over the line sooner.

Please support us today and help this long-held dream become a reality really soon.

Thank you

Northampton and Lamport Railway

WELCOME TO THE NEW FUNDRAISING PAGE FOR THE NORTHAMPTON AND LAMPORT RAILWAY CIO

The Northampton & Lamport Railway (NLR) is a steam and heritage diesel tourist railway in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside. Located just 5 miles north of Northampton, we currently have approximately one-and-a-half miles of running track along the old Northampton to Market Harborough line. This route is now the Brampton Valley Way (a 14-mile linear park) so you can not only ride one of our trains along the former line, but also walk along and watch the steam and diesel engines in action.

First established in 1984, we are run purely by volunteers and have been operating train services since 1995. We are currently working to complete our half mile southern extension to Boughton, before then pushing north a further one-and-a-half miles to Spratton.
