Bee Community Minded is our not-for-profit community project created by Eden House Community Links CIC. We offer therapeutic and wellbeing support to children and families in South Yorkshire and are trying to meet an increasing demand to support child mental health and emotional wellbeing need.
Unfortunately, many of the families approaching us for support are not in a position to fund private therapies and as such we are trying to increase options of how we can offer more services. Our aim is to continue to develop our low cost/no cost therapeutic and wellbeing services.
We offer interventions ranging from specialist trauma therapy to emotional wellbeing and social inclusion activities and want to ensure that these services are as widely accessible as possible.
Bee Community Minded is a project developed with an aim of developing community partnerships and working alongside local services to achieve and deliver this goal so that local therapeutic support can reach as many people as possible. We want children and families to access the right support, at the time that they need it and not experience further distress due to lack of professional services.
Funding Aims:
Our immediate fundraising aims will focus on enabling us to offer therapeutic support to the families already approaching us in need and waiting for support, either via our service or other community partners, and to build our capacity so that we can accept further referrals from local services who we know are stretched beyond capacity.
We aim to offer:
- Direct therapies and wellbeing interventions for individuals and groups.
- Provide a child and family friendly therapeutic space.
- Specific support: i.e. for children struggling to access school, with disabilities and/or sensory needs.
- Consultation to parents and carers to understand and support their children’s needs.
- Consultation, resources and training to profes
