Bee Community Minded is a not-for-profit project providing therapeutic and wellbeing services to children, young people, and families/carers. We are responding to increasing demand for mental health and emotional wellbeing support, offering services ranging from specialist trauma therapy to wellbeing, social inclusion, and family based interventions. Many of the families who approach us cannot afford private therapy and may not qualify for statutory funding. As the cost-of-living crisis continues and support needs grow, we are committed to ensuring children and families can access the right help when they need it, without unnecessary delays.
How you can help: We are hoping to generate a core service budget from microdonations which will be used towards delivering our service goals. Regular commitment to funding also helps us to plan and set services out longer term which is what children and families need when they are struggling. Alongside this we will continue working hard to generate bigger grants - but we hope that microdonations will help the core service to operate while we keep working on this.
We would be grateful for:
- Ongoing donations from individuals and businesses - Any contribution is able to be put to good use!
- One-off donations – these can be used for specific projects of pieces of work. For example, we have had donations to fund workshops for carers, groups for children, short therapy packages for children and sensory equipment for our rooms
- Making donations of services or goods which we can use for fundraising purposes i.e. raffles and fundraising events. We particularly need donations of soft toys for an ongoing project
- Individuals or organisations/teams who would like to fundraise or take donations on our behalf
- Providing professional time, mentorship, advice or guidance to support us to achieve our aims
