As of September 12, 2024, flooding in South Sudan has affected over 735,000 people across 38 counties, including Warrap State, where over 41,000 people have been displaced.
We recently received a request from Peter Akook concerning a proposal to bring relief to some of the recently flooded areas of Aweil . At the same time we have heard from Bishop Joseph Mamer of the floods in Wanyjok.
Please use this page to make a donation to them. We will be closing this appeal on 15th October and will send all donations to them then.

On Thursday 6th January alarming news reached us from Bishop Joseph Mamer of Wanyjok (the northern part of Northern Bahr el Ghazal Province, Archbishop Moses’ area of responsibility, so some way north of Wau, on the border with Sudan).
Bishop Joseph informs us that there was an armed incursion across the border last week by a Muslim group from Sudan, who have attacked two villages, Warguet and Yith Pabol, killing at least 28 people and destroying 57 homes and some churches. Bishop Joseph writes, "Massive displacement has happened, children and the elderly don't have shelters to stay in in this cold weather. Grass thatched churches have been mercilessly burned down.â€
