Tribute
I have set this page up as a tribute to my older brother Jim.
Jim had overcome a lot of things in his life, he had a heart attack in 2004 and underwent quadruple bypass surgery in 2005 at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton and he made a good recovery, he was referred to Action Heart at Russells Hall Hospital for 12 months and he enjoyed it so joined their health club after his time in the clinic ended. He was still a member when he passed away.
In 2017 he was diagnosed with throat cancer and had to have a course of radiotherapy at New Cross Hospital and The White house provided transport every day for six weeks, without which we would have been lost. After the treatment he bounced back again.
This year his health took a downwards turn and he lost his fight on Christmas Eve.
Jim was a family orientated man, he was a strong person, very stoic and loyal, he has been described by many as a lovely man and a true gentle man but he was my brother my lifelong friend and I shall miss him every day.
Favourite memory
I have so many memories of Jim, but I fondly remember the daytrips to the seaside we went on when we were children we always used to go on the rides together, When I got married Jim gave me away as dad had passed and I remember him saying to me to loose his arm as I was going to give him bruises as I was gripping him to tightly, When our daughter Louise was born we continued to go on trips with him and Mom and he took her on the rides once she was old enough.
