Each year Formation Architects choose a charity to support for the year and for 2022 that charity is Groundswell.
Groundswell are a charity based in Canterbury Court in Kennington Park Business Centre, next door to Formation Architects. They support homeless people in Lambeth and beyond; through training, volunteering and their Homeless Health Peer Advocacy service. They also carry out research with the NHS, universities and other charities.
Formation Architects fundraising could help pay for vaccine caseworkers to ensure some of the most vulnerable are protected against flu and Covid, as well as provide training to volunteers with lived experience of homelessness, then aid their progression with training, education and employment.
On Saturday 10th September, a team of 12 Employees and friends are taking on the Thames Path Challenge with the aim of raising £3,000 towards the charity. The team will be walking 22km from Hampton to Runnymede following the River Thames.
Additionally, one of our employees Cecilia and her son Hugo plan to take on the 10k at Run Richmond Park on Sunday 18th September, also in support of Groundswell.
We would really appreciate any help you can give towards achieving our target. The money the team will raise will help the charity to reach even more people experiencing homelessness, so please help us to fulfil this ambition. We hope you can join us in supporting our walkers!
