🌟 Help Us Brighten Futures at Banyaka Lower Basic School! 🌟

We would like to draw your attention to the Banyaka Lower Basic School in The Gambia, where primary school-age children are in urgent need of support. Your generosity can make a significant impact on their educational journey.

The students at Banyaka Lower Basic School lack basic necessities like pens and paper, and essential resources like solar power and laptop chargers.

How Your Donation Can Make a Difference:

πŸ’Ό Β£12: Buys a school bell, enhancing the school's organisation.

πŸ–¨οΈ Β£18: Covers the cost of printer ink/toner cartridges for vital educational materials.

β˜€οΈ Β£75: Powers up a solar battery, bringing sustainable energy to the school.

🍲 £85: Purchases a cooking pot to ensure nutritious lunches for the children.

Every Pound Counts!

Even a small donation can go a long way in transforming the learning environment for these children. Your generosity can create a ripple effect, opening up new possibilities and brighter futures.

Updates

Dale and I are off to The Gambia again! This time Dale's son Jonathan will be coming with us, and we hope he will enjoy the country and its amazing people as much as we do.

Thanks to our amazing supporters, last year we were able to provide essential resources for the Banyaka Lower Basic School, including:

πŸ’» 17 laptops (donated by Greenzone Facilities Management Limited)

πŸ–₯ 9 desktop PCs (donated by Altia)

🩺 PPE for the village health clinic

πŸ“š Two boxes of reading books

πŸ‘• Clothes and shoes

✏ Exercise books, pencils, books

πŸ–Š Pens, chalk, dusters

πŸ“Ž Staplers, A4 paper, etc

πŸ”” A new school bell

⚽ Footballs & other sports equipment

🩸 Reusable sanitary towels to improve the chances of girls attending school

πŸͺ‘ Tables & chairs

🌿 Spades, garden forks & a wheelbarrow for the school garden

🦷 Toothbrushes & toothpaste

Additionally, 9 monitors were purchased to use with the computers. The cost of these was covered upfront by Friends Of The Gambia Association, but we need to fundraise Β£172.45 to pay back half of the cost.

If you are able to contribute, even a small amount, it would be greatly appreciated! Every little bit helps to ensure the students have the resources they need to get an education for a better start in life. πŸ™πŸ’™
