About

  • 1 in 4 children cannot read well by the age of 11
  • 1 in 5 children don't have book at home

We want to change this.

Reading for pleasure is more important to children’s successes than education or socioeconomic background.

At The Reading Agency, we want to bring the benefits of reading to every child in the UK to help grow their confidence, nurture their mental health and support their learning.

We know our programmes work. But we also know that we need your support to achieve our goal.

Take part in our amazing raffle for the chance to win some brilliant prizes and help us to spread the joy of reading.
