Newlife Big Summer Raffle

Newlife currently has more than 750 disabled children waiting to receive equipment including specialist wheelchairs, buggies and car seats. Your donation will not only help provide the equipment, but enable siblings to play together in the garden, families to travel to the beach and children to experience a family holiday.

A powered wheelchair from Newlife has opened up the world for Rudy, allowing him much more freedom and independence and to enjoy outdoor activities with his family and friends.

Using his old NHS wheelchair was uncomfortable for Rudy. It would bounce him around if it went over the slightest bump, which made it too difficult to go anywhere the terrain was anything other than smooth and flat. Rudy was also unable to self-propel his old wheelchair, so needed to be pushed everywhere.

But thanks to Newlife, a powered wheelchair means Rudy can go to many more places in comfort.

We do this through providing specialist equipment, sensory toys and play experiences to give disabled children the opportunity to develop and thrive; engaging with parents and carers through training and support on our Helpline; and striving for social change for disabled children through campaigning and policy work.
