Did you know it is the International Day of Play on the 11th of June? Theodora Children’s Charity is inviting all businesses in Salisbury House to take part in a little fun during the workday. Part of this fun includes a raffle, with all proceeds going towards Giggle Doctor visits to children in hospital.
Our Giggle Doctors use play to support children’s wellbeing in hospitals across England in order to help reduce stress and anxiety, boost creativity, strengthen connections, and bring more joy to difficult hospital stays. Hospitals can be scary environments for anyone, especially young people, and our Giggle Doctors bring a playful artistry that allows a child to be a child, to be silly and funny and escape for a few moments. Giggle Doctors visit children of all ages, even the tiny newborn babies and shy teenagers, and are specially trained to create interactions centred around each individual child, regardless of illness, disability or complex need.
Each raffle ticket sold will help us to visit children in hospital and spread more joy and giggles - and you'll have a chance of winning some fantastic prizes, too!
