In July 2026, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, The Welcome Centre:

💜 Supported 1,031 people, including 346 children

🥫 Provided 2,122 emergency food packs

🍽️ Distributed enough food for 30,558 meals

🤝 Delivered 1,404 Advice, Guidance and Support sessions


When someone comes to us for emergency food, that's only the beginning. Our dedicated Advice, Guidance and Support team works alongside people to tackle the issues behind food poverty, helping them access benefits, manage debt, secure housing, and build a more stable future.

The Welcome Centre is the largest independent food bank in the UK. We help local families and individuals in crisis with food, toiletries, and other essential items. But we also provide advice, guidance, and support to address underlying issues. We want to improve the quality of life of those experiencing extreme disadvantage in our community by providing practical support.
